I have a Kia ceed 2007 1.6 diesel which has done around 118000 miles. I decided to change the fuel filter because of white smoke on cold start. Made a mistake of not doing any research before replacing the filter.
As a summary, I have the following problems ever since: - car goes into limp mode (6-7 times) - check engine light turned on twice (P1186, second code to be read tomorrow), - difficult engine start (not always) Can someone “guess” where the problem might be considering the changes they made and the problems? The car is ceed diesel 2007 115 hp.
That says all Kia petrol-engine cars can use E10. In practice if the engine was sold in Europe and was built after 2000 then there's very very few models which can't use E10. For example there's only one model of petrol-engine Ford built since 1992 which can't use E10.
