I wouldn't know too much about the other locations, but you can just look at the map, move around with WASD, and look for villages that produce iron. Iron is hardly a rare resources too. #2. In Stewards you have 2 skills that allows you to donate weapons and armors to exp your troops at the end of a battle. To go further, you can buy them in town to recycle them after a battle to speed up things. Note that the value/cost of a weapon/armor have no impact on the exp per items. So buy a lot of low value shit like pitchfork or Hammer :)

Look around the city you want the workshop in, see what its village produced goods are, that should help you make a profit. #5. this is a sandbox game, therefore what you define as "win in this game" is different depending on what you want to achieve. It doesn't really have a victory condition. It's something you just play until it's no longer fun. Then you start a new campaign, often imposing new conditions on yourself to make it interesting. rLVvy.
